As the new Country Manager for Niam in Denmark, Jacob de Lichtenberg will be responsible for leading and developing the company's activities in the Danish market. He will continue to build on Niam's strong position and create value for Niam's investors through a strategic and active approach to managing the fund's property investments.

Niam Denmark Announces Leadership Transition: New Country Manager
From July 1, 2023, Niam Denmark will undergo a change in its management as Michael Berthelsen hands over the position of Country Manager and the day-to-day management of the company to Jacob de Lichtenberg. Michael Berthelsen will remain as Senior Director at Niam.
Over the years, Jacob has demonstrated both business acumen and the leadership qualities required to take on the role of Country Manager after Michael. We look forward to continuing to have Denmark as a significant and important part of Niam's investment activities under Jacob's leadership. At the same time, we are very pleased to continue benefiting from Michael's extensive experience in his new role as Senior Director.
Jacob de Lichtenberg has been with Niam for a little over 4 years and most recently served as the Head of Niam's Danish transaction team. Together with the rest of the team, Jacob has had a strong focus on the residential segment and has completed numerous transactions, both for the now divested HD portfolio, Niam's current residential portfolio, and most recently in connection with the joint venture with Milton Huse.
Michael Berthelsen, who has been with Niam since 2011, has orchestrated one of Denmark's largest transactions back in 2020 when Niam sold the HD portfolio to Heimstaden for over 12 billion DKK during his time as Country Manager. Additionally, Michael led the acquisition of the Copenhagen Towers complex for over 2 billion DKK in 2019.
Niam currently has Danish properties with a value of between 7 and 8 billion DKK.
