The property outside Örebro has a strategic location with good access to Stockholm, Oslo, and Gothenburg. Plans for the site include the construction of a state-of-the-art logistics facility of approximately 24,000 square meters. Construction is expected to begin in the fall of 2024, and the building will be environmentally certified according to BREEAM standards, aiming for an Outstanding rating.
“This is our fifth logistics transaction in the past year, bringing our portfolio to approximately 310,000 square meters. As part of our long-term strategy, we continue to seek logistics assets across the Nordic region,” says Henrik Gerdin, Fund Manager at Niam.
“The facility will be Nordsten Development's first project in Örebro, and we look forward to working with Niam in the continued development process,” says Christoffer Bööj, Chairman of Nordsten Development.
Palmbohult is an extensive business area of approximately 50 hectares, located near Örebro Airport. The area is situated west of the E18/E20 motorway, south of central Örebro.
